Those are - AI: Aggressiveness, starting Denarii (however imo AI will always have the cash they need), troop/fleet production. Battle changes are simple, however people forget to mention the Campaign changes, so I will put it all in one place for future gamers On each difficulty there are some things that are always adjusted. Whereas at H and VH AI won't stand around catching your arrow shafts and charge in at any opportunity - use it for your own advantage. They are more of pigs for slaughter than troops at these two starting levels. Also in battles AI will be a coward on easy and to be honest pretty much on Medium as well. Easy -4 Morale/Attack (It's actually you who gets the bonus, however look at it any way you want - your gain = AI loss, so what's the difference), Medium - equal Morale/Attack, Hard +4, VH +7. What you probably already know for sure is that with each difficulty AI gets morale and attack adjusted, starting Denarii as well as aggressiveness. However it's far from as simple as people put it. I personally won't ever stop playing this magnificent game, just as Heroes 3 AB, Warcraft 3, and Civ5 And many others! Now about the difficulties, I'll put it as simple as possible not to confuse you. noticed there are some people who still play the game and still look for answers so thought I'd join in as people miss out a lot of things and give misleading information. Right, should have registered on these forums earlier than 2012 But then again, was never really high on community. auto-resolve is just broken on hard and very hard difficulty levels. Only enjoyable way for me to play is play on hard campaign difficulty and medium battle difficulty (because i don't want AI to cheat, i want fair morale and attack bonuses) and i have to fight all battles myself.

Who's idea was to make auto-resolve battles campaign difficulty dependant why can't they be affected by battle difficulty. Things i already know are different depending on the difficulty level:īattle difficulty: easy=+4 morale and attack for your troops, medium=no advantages for either side, hard=+4 morale and attack for AI, very hard=+7 morale and attack for AIĬampaign difficulty: the only thing i'm sure about campaign difficulty is that auto-resolve battles are harder depending on campaign difficulty so apparently when you auto-resolve it isn't considered a battle which is really annoying because if i play on medium campaign difficulty with no AI advantages it seems that AI sucks really bad on making troops and they are way less aggressive compared to hard but on hard auto-resolve battles are ridiculous especially against romans, for some reason the hastatis are overpowered on the auto-resolve battles but if i actually fight on map i'll just dominate all roman factions.
